Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two Knox residents were arrested on Friday after police allegedly found items to manufacture methamphetamine and the finished product inside a residence.

Officers from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2000 E. block of 400 S. in Knox. Inactive methamphetamine labs were found along with precursors, drug paraphernalia, and Schedule II controlled substances, according to a news release.

Steven Finger, 24, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine, possession of precursors, paraphernalia and a Schedule II controlled substance as well as maintaining a common nuisance. Jasmyn Kotras, 20, was booked into the Starke County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of precursors, paraphernalia and a Schedule II controlled substance as well as maintaining a common nuisance.

Both Finger and Kotras remain in the Starke County Jail on a $25,000 surety bond. Finger is also being held on a warrant.
