City of Knox to Celebrate National Day of Prayer Tomorrow

National Day of Prayer 2015Churches, business and civic leaders and Starke County residents will join in prayer and fellowship tomorrow to celebrate the National Day of Prayer. Chuck Bachelder from the First Christian Church of Knox will keynote the City of Knox National Day of Prayer Breakfast. It starts at 7 a.m. at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center. Bachelder is also the president of the Ministerial Alliance of Starke County.

The theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer is “Lord, Hear Our Cry.” This marks the 64th annual celebration. Congress passed a joint resolution in 1952 establishing the National Day of Prayer, and President Harry S. Truman signed it into law. The day traditionally offers an opportunity to reflect on the state of national affairs. Find more information online at http://nationaldayofprayer.org/.
