Officials Say Pulaski County Fair Will Go On

 
 

The Pulaski County Fair will go on in spite of the soggy conditions at the fairgrounds. Purdue Extension Pulaski County officials will decide Wednesday where events and activities will take place but stress the fair will not be cancelled.

The Pulaski County Fairgrounds is located at the back of the Winamac Town Park, which is closed due to flooding. It’s located along the bank of the Tippecanoe River.

Project check-in and judging is taking place this week at several alternate locations in Winamac. Sewing and fashion revue is scheduled today at the Winamac Nazarene Church. Consumer clothing judging will also take place there on Wednesday, and food and cake judging are scheduled Thursday.

Here is the latest schedule provided by Purdue Extension Pulaski County officials:

June 29 – Electric check in and judging is at the Knights of Columbus in Winamac. 12-1 p.m. Entry and 1 p.m. – Open Judging.

June 30 – Sewing and Fashion Revue is at the Nazarene Church in Winamac, 10 a.m. Entry by judging.

July 1 – Consumer Clothing is at the Nazarene Church in Winamac, noon-12:30 p.m. Entry followed by judging.

July 2 – Foods and Cake and Cupcake Decorating judging will be at the Nazarene Church also, Entry begins at 9 a.m. Judging for foods starts at 10 a.m. Judging for cake and cupcake decorating starts at 1 p.m.
