The Pulaski County 4-H Fair kicked off with the annual Miss Pulaski Pageant on Sunday. Six local ladies came together to compete for the crown. Contestants included Briana Gallegos, Melissa Ann Bailey, Olivea Eschelman-Gorby, Macy Bischoff, Alyssa Bushman and Kallie Rasmussen. Since May the candidates have been meeting weekly to train for the pageant with things such as make-up application, dress rehearsals, mock-judging, interviews and public speaking.

During Sunday’s pageant at the Winamac High School socialtorium three out of county individuals served as the judges. After much deliberation during the pageant the judges declared the winner and the girls who would be first and second runner-up. The second runner-up Alyssa Bushman also walked away with the People’s Choice Award and the first-runner up was Melissa Bailey. The title of the Miss Pulaski County 2015 went to Macy Bischoff who was also chosen as Miss Congeniality. The queen and her court received cash and other prizes. Macy Bischoff will now have the chance to compete for Miss Indiana State Fair in January of 2016.

The winning contestants were photographed with last year’s queen Justine Kruger. The picture was captured by GFB photography in Winamac and provided to WKVI news through Karen Fritz.
