Pulaski County Fair Wraps Up Tonight

The recent rainy weather couldn’t keep local fair-goers from putting on the annual Pulaski County 4-H Fair and you have your final chance to join in the fun today. Though a majority of the fair activities took place earlier in the week, there is still plenty going on as we speak!

A flag raising ceremony is scheduled for 8 am at the fair office. The “Color me Green” 5K dash is also scheduled at that time at the fairgrounds. Breakfast by the fair board and a lunch and dinner by the Winamac Corner Deli will be available in the community center. At 9 am the Ultimate 4-H Showmen will be performing in the show arena and the cat show is scheduled to take place on the entertainment stage. An appreciation reception for Volunteers will take place at 1 pm followed by the youth and adult livestock judging contest at 1:30 pm in the 4-H show arena. At 2:30 pm 4-H champion pictures will be taken on the entertainment stage.

The 4-H exhibit hall and the community center will close at 3 pm for 1 hour to prepare for release of projects. Open class and 4-H exhibits will be released from 4 until 6 pm. The 4-H auction will happen at 6 pm in the show arena. The sale order will be poultry, swine, cattle, sheep, goats and then rabbits. Clean up will begin during the evening hours tonight and morning tomorrow. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
