The Indiana Department of Transportation’s looking for snowplow drivers for this winter.
INDOT’s teaming up with WorkOne of Northwest Indiana to hold a recruiting event for Seasonal Winter Program workers. It’ll be held this Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern at the WorkOne office in Plymouth.
INDOT says Seasonal Winter Program workers help maintain highways from November to March. Those involved with snow and ice removal can earn between $15 and $20 an hour. The jobs are available across INDOT’s entire Northwest Indiana District.
Those who’d like to apply must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License and will be required to pass a drug test. Applicants should bring their résumé, CDL, current medical examiner’s certificate, and proof of high school diploma or equivalent.
