The North Judson Town Superintendent will soon be able to efficiently address problems with underground water lines thanks to an equipment purchase approved this week by the council. They agreed to spend $572 for a pipe freezing unit. It allows utility crews to work on underground lines without shutting off service. The unit is used to form a frozen ice plug to block the pipe so repairs can be made.
