Sex Offender Faces New Charges in Starke County

A registered sex offender faces new charges in Starke County. James Sobieck of Knox was arrested after a two-day investigation by the Starke County Sheriff’s Office.

They got a tip on Oct. 1 that he was no longer living at his registered residence. They found him at a residence on 250 North in Starke County, and he was arrested without incident after reportedly admitting to the officer he had moved and had not updated his information. He’s charged with failure to register as a sex offender.
