Annual Starke Historical Society Meeting to Hear Report on Presidential Libraries

  
 

The 2015 annual meeting of the Starke County Historical Society, tonight, will be dedicated to the memory of Jim Shilling. Shilling, who served as president of the Society 1998 to 2014, passed away in October.

The group will gather at  6 p.m. for a carry-in dinner at the Knox High School cafeteria. The business meeting and program starts at 6:45. Steven Lee, a North Judson -San Pierre Middle School teacher is the guest speaker.
His program is a report of his visits to 13 Presidential Libraries. He researched the childhoods of the future presidents to discover how their experiences, both positive and negative, influenced and shaped the men they would become. The public is invited.
Board members and officers will be elected.
