Details Released in Fatal Pulaski County Accident

 
 

A head-on collision Monday morning in Pulaski County has resulted in death.

Officials with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department have now released details in the incident. The two-vehicle accident took place around 11:05 a.m. EDT in the area of U.S. 421 and 450 N. near Medaryville.

Two vehicles were involved and, according to first responders, were on the west side of the road.

According to information released by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, a 2011 GMC Sierra, being driven by Roberta Currie of Linden, Indiana was heading north on U.S. 421. Her vehicle crossed the center line where it collided with a 1998 international box truck driven by Roger Young of Kentwood, Michigan.

Young and a passenger were removed from the vehicle by emergency personnel and flown to a nearby hospital. Currie was pronounced dead at the scene according to the information provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
