Teachers Credit Union and the John Glenn School Corporation are working together to provide long-term resources to the students and families they serve. The partnership includes the addition of TCU signage to the John Glenn High School gym. It’s expected to be unveiled Feb. 12th.
TCU will also develop financial health and awareness programs for students and their families. Officials say teaching students about money from the time they are in elementary school helps families plan for college and will ultimately produce fiscally responsible adults.
So far the unique partnership between John Glenn and TCU has led to the awarding of more than $160,000 in scholarships for John Glenn students. TCU intends to continue supporting the corporation’s programs like the Falloween Festival and senior recognition night. Other proposed initiatives include financial literacy programs and funds to enhance student technology development.
Additionally, TCU will now be the provider for John Glenn’s operating account as well as a choice for teacher’s 403B accounts and HSA accounts.
