Eastern Pulaski School Board Approves Purchases

The iPads purchased for students in the Eastern Pulaski School Corporation four years ago are ready to be replaced. Last night the school board voted unanimously to purchase new 16 gig tablets and protective cases.

The purchase marks the first major refresh for the corporation since going to a one-to-one program. Superintendent Dan Foster says the corporation opted to stay with the iPads so as not to lose apps used in the classroom. Funds for the purchase will come from the corporation’s capital projects account.

So will money to replace lab computers. The current ones are six years old. Foster is hopeful fewer lab computers will be needed the next time they are due for replacement.

Board members also approved the purchase of two International Collins school buses for a total of $165,958 after trade-in allowances.
