“American Pickers” Scouting More Area Locations

American PickersThe hosts of the popular History Channel show “American Pickers” will be back in Indiana within the next several weeks to continue their search for buried treasure.

Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz and their production team are looking for large, private collections of unique items. They are interested in vintage bicycles, toys, unusual radios, movie memorabilia, advertising, military items, folk art, pre-1950s western gear, early firefighting equipment, vintage musical equipment, automotive items and clothing. The guys are always excited to find things they’ve never seen before and learn the story behind them.

“American Pickers” is scheduled to tape in Indiana in late March and early April. The show’s producers have reached out to chambers of commerce across the state in search of leads on characters with interesting and unique items. If you or someone you know has a large, private collection, send your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to:americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 855-old-rust.

Mike, Frank and their crew stopped in rural Marshall County last fall and picked an extensive collection of items owned by man in his 80s who is a lifelong resident of the area. That episode aired recently on “The History Channel.”
