Hamlet Motel Raid Leads to Several Meth-related Arrests

Meth BustStarke County investigators executed a search warrant in Hamlet on Friday only to come away with a handful of arrests.

The raid was conducted at the Stay for Less Motel on U.S. 30. Several rooms were searched according to authorities. That led to the location of methamphetamines, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, syringes, and several one-pot meth labs.

Officers also allegedly located several HCL generators and what they say are items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

According to information provided by the Starke County Sheriff’s Department, 40-year-old Aaron Thomas of Hamlet was arrested on charges of Aiding/Inducing in Dealing Methamphetamines, Possession of Meth, Possession of Legend Drugs, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

29-year-old Alan Craft of Knox was arrested on charges of Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Meth, Possession of a Schedule 2 and 4 Substance, Possession of a Syringe and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Two more individuals, 54-year-old James Clemons and 51-year-old Carmen Clemons, were charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance, while 23-year-old Levi Clemons was charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance.

A K9 Unit, Hamlet Police, and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team assisted with the operation.
