Absentee Voting Available Saturday in Area Counties

Absentee voting continues until May 2nd, but Starke and Pulaski county voters have an opportunity to vote early for each of the next two Saturdays.

Absentee voting for the May 3rd primary election has been ongoing in the state since early April. Voting hours continue to be offered during the weekdays at the Starke County Clerk’s office in Knox. In Pulaski County, early and absentee voting is taking place at the Winamac branch of the Pulaski County Public Library.

Saturday hours in Pulaski County will take place today and April 30th from 9:30 am. until 3:30 p.m. with a half hour break at 1:00 p.m. for poll workers.

In Starke County, Saturday absentee voting will be offered between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. with a one hour break at Noon.

Providing for weekend time slots allows voters who are otherwise indisposed an opportunity to cast ballots during a time that may not interfere with their work schedules.

This is the first year Marshall County has implemented a vote center model. The concept allows residents to cast their ballot at any of the available polling locations using electronic poll pad technology.

Voting times will remain the same during April 30th’s absentee voting hours.
