Eastern Pulaski School Board Recaps Finances, Projects

The Eastern Pulaski School Board is preparing for the start of a new school year. During their Monday evening meeting, Superintendent Dan Foster notes the corporation continues to have a positive balance despite their major ongoing construction project. Overall the corporation is about 1 percent ahead of where they were at this time last year.

Foster says the construction is set to finish on time. Even with a few setbacks, such as incorrect sized beams and windows being delivered, the construction in all buildings is moving along well.

The school board approved a new bench to be placed in memorial of Dave Kroft. The family asked to donate a bench in his honor. The board was glad to accept the offer and thanked the family for their donation. The bench will be placed by the Jack Hendricks memorial bench outside the football locker rooms soon.

Foster reminded the school board that the school year is quickly approaching, with Meet the Teacher Night and the first day being in about four weeks.
