Knox Mayor Dennis Estok wants to hear from citizens in an informal setting. He’s scheduled a town hall meeting on Monday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center.
Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to voice concerns, ask questions and inquire about any ongoing projects within the city. Estok is finalizing plans to add an ampitheatre at Wythogan Park between the main entrance and splash pad. Demolition of blighted houses purchased from willing sellers with grant money is ongoing, and the 50/50 sidewalk replacement program is wrapping up.
The city is also in the process of improving its water and wastewater infrastructure with money from a rate increase passed in January.
