Eastern Pulaski School Board Gets Good Class of 2016 Report

The Winamac Community High School Class of 2016 is doing well overall, according to information shared Monday with the school board. Superintendent Dan Foster says of the 100 or so graduates, 73 percent are pursuing some sort of post-secondary training. The majority are attending a four-year college, while others are studying in a vocational setting. He adds four members of the class joined the military, and the rest have entered the workforce in some capacity.

Foster says the dual credit and advance placement courses offered at Eastern Pulaski provide a good foundation for students to continue their education. Last year he says 46 students earned a total of 610 dual credit hours. That’s an average of 13.3 credits per student, which equals almost a full semester.

Foster adds the courses are offered through Ivy Tech at no cost to the students.
