The Starke County Health Department has a new contract in place for the disposal of needles used to administer vaccinations. The county commissioners Monday approved an annual sharps disposal agreement with Stericycle. The $204 annual cost includes the pick up of four containers twice a year. Health Nurse Frank Lynch says they are the only company in the area that offers the service and their price is a competitive one. The contract does require prepayment. The commissioners approved it unanimously.
