Another unique commemoration of Indiana’s Bicentennial is on display locally this week. The Indiana Bicentennial Barn Quilt has a barn square from each of the state’s 92 counties.

It is on display at the Starke County Public Library in Knox until noon tomorrow. From there it will be taken to the Knox High School Cafeteria for the Starke County Historical Society’s annual meeting tomorrow evening.

The quilt was a project of the Indiana Barn Foundation and will be sold at auction in early 2017.

A familiar local landmark represents Starke County on the Bicentennial Barn Quilt.

Judy Harness of Plymouth made the Starke County quilt square. It is a replica of the one on the barn at the corner of U.S. 35 and County Road 50 North, just north of Knox.
