Many Voters Cast Ballots Early, Ahead of Tomorrow’s Election

Election Day isn’t until tomorrow, but many voters have already cast their ballots. Nearly 2,000 absentee ballots had been cast in Starke County by Friday afternoon.

That includes 1,694 walk-ins at the Starke County Courthouse, 232 mail-in ballots, and 46 travel board ballots, according to staff in the County Clerk’s Office. Pulaski County has also seen strong turnout, with 1,480 residents voting in person, 195 voting by mail, and 57 voting by travel board.

Pulaski County residents who haven’t voted already can vote tomorrow at any one of the county’s five vote centers. They include the Francesville Fire Station, the Medaryville Christian Church Annex, the Star City Community Center, the Pulaski County Highway Garage and the Monterey Town Hall.

Voters registered in Starke County have to vote at their local polling place.

Polls will be open on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
