Winamac Park Board Meeting Tonight

Entrance to the Winamac Town Park

The Winamac Park Board will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight. Other than Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo’s monthly report, no specific discussion or action items are listed on the advance agenda.

Recently, the park board has been looking for more information about potential maintenance costs for the new swimming pool planned for the town. Board member Jon Chapman has expressed doubts that the town’s $40,000 recreation budget would be enough to cover maintenance costs, should the pool get rebuilt.

The park board has also been seeking residents’ input about the Town Park’s restroom facilities. Board members have noted that the restrooms at the front of the park could use some upgrades. However, member Pat Bawcum has pointed out that more and more people are using the back of the park, and it may be worth considering improving those restrooms, as well. It’s currently up to the organizers of the Pulaski County 4-H Fair and Northern Indiana Power from the Past to maintain the buildings in the back of the park.

Tonight’s park board meeting starts at 6:00 at the Winamac Municipal Utility Complex.
