Courthouse Restroom Upgrades to be Considered by Pulaski County Council

The Pulaski County Council will consider funding arrangements for courthouse restroom upgrades. During tonight’s meeting, Maintenance Supervisor Jeff Johnston is expected to request an additional appropriation to make the basement restrooms more accessible to people using wheelchairs.

He plans to take the two existing restrooms and turn them into four unisex bathrooms that will fully comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Johnston is also planning upgrades to the County Office Building – specifically, improvements to the electrical system and repairs to the exterior.

The Pulaski County Council is also expected to hear from Highway Superintendent Terry Ruff and Sheriff Jeff Richwine during tonight’s meeting. It starts at 7:00 p.m. EDT at the Pulaski County Courthouse.
