A LaPorte man was taken into custody without incident Thursday night and is in the LaPorte County Jail on a charge of dealing in cocaine/narcotic drugs, a Level 5 felony.
According to LaPorte City Police, a vehicle Reginald Spraggins, 42, was traveling in was pulled over Thursday night as a result of a traffic stop initiated by the LaPorte Police Crime and Drug Reduction Strike. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Tipton Street.
LaPorte County Drug Task Force Detective Donald Hicks had been investigating allegations of Spraggins’ drug activity over the course of a year.
Spraggins is being held on bond at the LaPorte County Jail.
