Knox Elementary School to Get Outdoor Learning Center

Knox Elementary School will be getting an outdoor learning center. Superintendent A.J. Gappa says an outdoor chalkboard, seating, and landscaping will be installed on the west side of the school. He adds that there are already trees in the area, but some erosion issues need to be corrected.

To pay for the upgrades, the school was awarded grant funding from Arrowhead Country Resource Conservation and Development. Second Grade Teacher Jamie Shireman discussed the project with the school board Monday.
