Proposed Culver Superintendent’s Contract Up for Discussion Tonight

The Culver Community School Board will hold a public hearing tonight to hear comments on the proposed superintendent’s contract. That hearing will be tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET in the administration office on the school’s campus.

Interim Superintendent Chuck Kitchell will be retiring at the end of June. He has been with the Culver Community School Corporation for 28 years. Kitchell assumed the interim superintendent’s position at the end of December in 2015.

Following that hearing, the school board will hold its regular meeting where several items will be discussed. A reduction in force update will be presented to the board along with the technology director’s contract and the consideration of estimates on a pole barn extension. It is anticipated that the board will appoint a member to the Culver-Union Township Public Library as a member has resigned from the board.

The regular meeting of the Culver Community School Board is set for tonight at 7 p.m. ET in the administration office.
