Kankakee River Flooding Potential Continues

 

A flood warning continues for the Kankakee River at Davis near U.S. 30. The National Weather Service says as of 2:00 p.m. Friday, the river’s stage was 10.3 feet, surpassing the 10-foot flood stage. That means minor flooding is expected over the coming days.

The Kankakee River is expected to crest near 10.5 feet around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, before falling below flood stage Monday afternoon. The flood warning remains in effect until Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service has canceled the flood warning for the Tippecanoe River near Ora.
