Knox School Board Schedules Executive Sessions for Superintendent Search

The Knox School Board is planning its next steps when it comes to finding a new superintendent.

Just over two weeks after the job opening was posted, Interim Superintendent Jim Dermody told the school board Monday there’s been a good amount of interest so far. But he says that once the application period closes this Friday, the school board will be on a tight schedule to get a permanent superintendent in place by August 1.

To keep the process moving along, board members decided to schedule executive sessions for Tuesday, May 30 and Wednesday, May 31 to screen the applications. Additional executive sessions will be held on Tuesday, June 6 and Thursday, June 8 for the first round of interviews.

Application information is available on the Knox Community School Corporation website.
