West Central School Board Rejects Quotes for Middle School Entrance Upgrades

Upgrades to the entrance of West Central Middle School have been put on hold.

Superintendent Don Street says the school board rejected the two quotes the corporation received for the work Thursday, after they came in significantly higher than what the architects anticipated. “They recommended that we reject the quotes – which our board did – and roll the middle school entrance into our larger project that the board has discussed,” he explains. “We’ve been working with the architects on redoing all of our entrances for our three buildings and utilizing space a little bit better.”

He says Barton-Coe-Vilamaa Architects & Engineers has been working with the corporation on the project.
