Starke-Pulaski Habitat for Humanity Plans Open House

Volunteers with the Starke-Pulaski Habitat for Humanity organization will be hosting an open house at their 8th completed home Saturday, September 28 at 2 p.m. ET.

The home is located at 614 South Burson Street in Winamac. Homeowners John and Melissa May will welcome visitors to view the home generously built with their sweat equity and volunteers within the program.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing organization where organization officials work toward building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of a decent and affordable place to live.

Families and individuals in need of decent, affordable housing apply for homeownership with their local Habitat for Humanity. Each local Habitat for Humanity family selection committee selects homeowners based on the applicant’s level of need, their willingness to partner with Habitat, and their ability to repay a mortgage through an affordable payment plan.
