Incidents

5/20/15 –The North Judson Police Department, Hobart Police Department K-9 Units, Town of Porter K-9, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department K-9 and North Judson Police Department K-9 officer Scott Beishuizen and his K-9 partner Gunner conducted a drug search of North Judson-San Pierre High School and Middle School and the parking lots. No drugs were located during the search.

5/20/15 – North Judson Police responded to a car vs. deer property damage accident just East of S.R.39 North. The vehicle left prior to the officer’s arrival.

5/22/15 – North Judson Police were notified of a loose horse on State Road 39 South. The animal went into the woods and was spotted north of town, where its owner picked it up.

5/22/15 – A resident in the 600 block of Simmons Street reported a pit bull attacked and killed their cat. The incident is still under investigation.

5/22/15 – North Judson Police Officer Scott Beishuizen stopped a vehicle in the area of State Road 39 North and State Road 10. His K-9 partner Gunner alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. The driver, Derek Jordan Singleton, 18, of Knox was arrested on charges of possession of synthetic marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance. The passenger, Christian Samuel Everage, 22, of Grovertown, is charged with visiting a common nuisance.

5/19/15 – A caller in the 5000 block of East Grant St. in Knox reported someone busted out her vehicle window.

5/19/15 – A resident in the 700 block of North State Road 23 in Knox reported her grandson found numerous syringes under the bridge at 75 North and State Road 23.

5/20/15 – A resident in the 11800 block of East 300 North in Knox reported a known suspect took several items from her residence earlier that morning.

5/20/15 – A resident in the 3100 block of South 900 West in San Pierre reported vandalism to his house. He says this is an ongoing problem and gave officials the name of a suspect with whom he is having problems.

5/20/15 – A resident in the 3100 block of South 900 West in San Pierre reported a neighbor was trespassing on his property.

5/20/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle property damage accident on U.S. 35 North of 500 South in Knox.

5/20/15 – A resident in the 600 block of east 250 South in Knox reported his identity was stolen.

5/20/15 – A resident in the 3000 block of east 350 South in Knox reported the theft of a Schwinn bicycle.

5/21/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and North Judson First Responders all responded to a rollover wreck on State Road 39 north of 400 South in North Judson.

5/21/15 – Starke County Highway Department employees found a meth lab about 100 feet north of Toto Road on 800 East.

5/21/15 – The caretaker of a property in the 5100 block of North State Road 23 in Grovertown reported a fence has been cut down.

5/21/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle property damage accident at the intersection of 500 North and 800 East in Grovertown.

5/22/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle versus deer crash on State Road 8 at 700 East in Knox.

5/22/15 – A resident in the 11200 block of East Circle Ave. in Walkerton reported the theft of sod.

5/22/15 – A resident in the 2600 block of East 100 South in Knox reported damage to a fence caused by a semi.

5/22/15 – A resident in the 2900 block of South 200 East in Knox reported her home was broken into.

5/22/15 – A caller from Grovertown Truck Stop reported the theft of his 20 foot extension ladder from the back of his truck between 7:30 and 8 p.m. while he was eating dinner.

5/22/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle versus deer crash on State Road 10 at 1150 East in Culver.

5/23/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle property damage accident in the 6000 block of south County Road 210 in Knox.

5/24/15 – A resident in the 100 block of south 925 East in Knox reported the theft of two handguns.

5/24/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a golf cart accident in the 2800 block of south County Road 210 in Knox.

5/24/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and North Judson Fire Department responded to a vehicle versus telephone pole accident in the 4900 block of south State Road 39 in North Judson.

5/24/15 – A resident in the 7600 block of south 850 East in Monterey reported the theft of a lawn mower.

5/24/15 – A resident in the 6800 block of East Toto Road in Knox reported his garage was broken into.

5/24/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded toa vehicle versus deer crash on U.S. 30 eastbound at County Road 750 East in Grovertown.

5/24/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle versus deer crash on U.S. 30 westbound at the Marshall County line in Grovertown.

5/25/15 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 11300 block of East South St. in Walkerton.

5/25/15 – A caller reported a possible meth lab on DNR property on 1150 East north of 875 North.

5/25/15 – A realtor who has the listing for property in the 8800 block of east 400 North in Grovertown reported golf carts on the property and people going in and out of the residence. She advised nobody has permission to be there.

5/25/15 – Officers responded to a vehicle versus deer crash on U.S. 30 near Knoll Brothers in Hamlet.
