Incidents

3/6/17 – A caller advised a white box truck pulled into a residence in the 5000 block of south 750 East in Knox and asked if anybody lived there. The property owner said nobody should be there. The caller said the two men in the truck walked all around the property. One of the men had shaved blonde hair and was wearing a camo jacket.
3/6/17 – A resident in the 6700 block of east 250 North in Grovertown reported an ongoing problem with someone trespassing and releasing dogs on the property. The caller’s husband has the man detained, and the DNR requested assistance from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office due to an extended ETA.
3/6/17 – A UPS employee advised she was attacked by three dogs on Friday at a home in the 6600 block of North SR 23 in Walkerton.
3/6/17 – A resident in the 4600 block of south 350 West in North Judson reported a suspicious person wearing dark clothing and carrying a flashlight outside her neighbor’s residence.
3/6/17 – A resident in the 1500 block of east 500 South in Knox advised two men were on the property stealing items from the shed.
3/7/17 – A caller reported trash was dumped in the area of State Road 10 and 250 West in North Judson.
3/7/17 – A 41-year-old Walkerton man was cited for operating an off-road vehicle on the roadway in the area of State Road 23 and Tippecanoe. The officer advised the man was irate, wanted to argue and kept punching his truck.
3/8/17 – A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported at the intersection of State Road 39 and 50 South in North Judson.
3/8/17 – The Koontz Lake Fire Department was dispatched to the 3100 block of north 900 East in Grovertown for a report of power lines sparking nearby.
3/8/17 – A single-vehicle property damage accident was reported on 350 East north of State Road 10 in Knox.
3/8/17 – A caller reported the theft of cameras in the 1700 block of east 500 South in Knox.
3/8/17 – Starke County EMS and the Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1900 block of east 250 South in Knox for a report of a child who was bit in the face by a dog.
3/8/17 – Officers responded to the storage units on Toto Road west of Range Road in North Judson where a renter advised the lock on his unit had been cut. He said two helmets, a TV and some clothing were missing.
3/9/17 – A resident in the 2700 block of south Pinewood Drive in Knox was issued a citation for animals running at large after two dogs reportedly killed the neighbor’s cat.
3/9/17 – A vehicle versus deer property damage accident was reported on U.S. 35 at 400 East in Knox.
3/10/17 – A single-vehicle rollover property damage accident was reported on U.S. 35 south of Knox.
3/10/17 – A resident in the 3100 block of west 900 South in North Judson advised her mailbox was ripped off the post sometime during the night and requested extra patrol.
3/10/17 – An assault was reported in the 5200 block of south A Street in North Judson.
3/11/17 – A resident in the area of 400 South and 350 East in Knox advised he was awakened by two trucks mudding in his neighbor’s field. They left as he was calling the police.
3/11/17 – A resident in the 10900 block of east Kanney Avenue in Koontz Lake advised a dark colored TrailBlazer parked partially on his property appears to be wrecked.
3/11/17 – A caller in the 3000 block of east 400 South in Knox advised several 4-wheelers are riding recklessly through the subdivision and requested an officer.
3/11/17 – A resident in the 300 block of North Sandy Knob Drive in San Pierre advised his neighbor’s dog is off its leash and goes after his kids.
3/11/17 – A North Judson resident advised his ex-wife is making threats against him.
3/11/17 – A resident in the 4400 block of East Dawn Drive in North Judson advised he just got into a fight with his neighbor.
3/11/17 – Starke County EMS, the Koontz Lake Fire Department and Starke County Sheriff’s Office all responded to a report of a traffic accident with injuries on 850 South east of 850 East in Knox.
3/11/17 – A caller advised unauthorized people are having a bonfire on property in the 3800 block of south 350 East in Knox.
3/12/17 – A resident in the 11000 block of Pottawatomie Trail North in Walkerton advised someone drove through his yard overnight, damaged his property and knocked down several mailboxes. He found a vehicle nearby believed to be responsible for the damage and provided the plate number.
3/12/17 – A caller advised he had several items of fishing gear and a Hoyt compound bow stolen out of his truck at a residence on Dawn Drive in North Judson.
3/12/17 – A resident in the 400 block of north 650 East in Knox advised her neighbor has taken down her fence.
3/12/17 – A resident in the 4100 block of east 175 North in Knox reported two pit bulls continue running loose in her yard and says one is there now. She’s not sure where they are coming from.
3/12/17 – A Knox man reported being threatened by two known subjects.
3/12/17 – A residential break-in was reported in the 1000 block of East Peppermint Lane in Knox.
3/12/17 – A property owner in the 3300 block of east 350 South in Knox advised kids on 4-wheelers are tearing up his field.
