4/5/16 – A resident in the 10100 block of East Francis Street in Grovertown reported a theft.

4/5/16 – A resident in the 7300 block of West Toto Road in North Judson reported the theft of one garbage can and damage to another one.

4/5/16 – A theft was reported in the 6300 block of south 700 East in Knox.

4/5/16 – A vehicle theft was reported in the 4000 block of south 100 East in Knox.

4/5/16 – A vehicle damage report was requested at the Hope Center on U.S. 30 at State Road 23 after a car door hit another vehicle in the parking lot.

4/5/16 – A Knox resident reported receiving a scam phone call from someone claiming to be from Publisher’s Clearing House saying she won their sweepstakes and they needed her address. Dispatchers contacted Publisher’s Clearing House and were told they don’t call winners, they just show up.

4/5/16 – Another Knox resident reported receiving a Publisher’s Clearing House scam call. This time the caller said the winner needed to pay a fee before her prize could be delivered. Again these are scams. Hang up, and do not share any personal information.

4/6/16 – A resident in the 500 block of North Starke Street in Hamlet reported receiving harassing text messages.

4/6/16 – A resident in the 7600 block of south 125 East in North Judson reported two dogs attacked his farm animals.

4/7/16 – A residential break in was reported in the 1900 block of west 700 South in North Judson.

4/7/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Bass Lake Fire Department responded to an accident with injuries at the intersection of U.S. 35 and 400 South in Knox.

4/716 – A Walkerton resident reported receiving IRS scam telephone calls.

4/7/16 – A Knox resident reported receiving scam text messages.

4/7/16 – A resident in the 4000 block of south 625 East in Knox called the sheriff’s office to file a theft report for medication and was advised they no longer take reports for this.

4/8/16 – A tenant at the Stay 4 Less Motel in Hamlet asked to file a theft report.

4/8/16 – A resident in the 4600 block of south State Road 39 in North Judson reported someone stole their rabbits and killed their dog.

4/8/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and fire department first responders responded to a traffic accident on Toto Road east of 250 East in Knox.

4/8/16 – A man advised his girlfriend got a phone call from the Health and Human United Federal Grants Department saying she was getting back $700,000 but needed to pay a fee of $250. This is another type of scam.

4/8/16 – The owner of farm property in the 1700 block of south 200 East in Knox reported young men having a fire and drinking without her permission.

4/8/16 – A North Judson resident hit a tree that had fallen across State Road 39 just north of State Road 10. He was not injured and was able to drive his car home. The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, North Judson Police and North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department responded.

4/9/16 – A slide-off was reported on U.S. 421 south of the Kankakee River.

4/9/16 – A slide-off was reported on State Road 8 between the railroad tracks and 700 East in Knox.

4/9/16 – A slide-off was reported on U.S. 30 eastbound west of U.S. 35.

4/9/16 – A slide-off was reported on U.S. 30 just east of U.S. 35.

4/9/16 – A slide-off was reported on U.S. 35 north of State Road 8 west in Knox. The vehicle was on its side, but the driver was not injured.

4/9/16 – A slide-off was reported on the west side of U.S. 35 north of 400 North in Knox.

4/9/16 – A property damage accident was reported at the intersection of Toto Road and 250 East in Knox.

4/9/16 – A slide-off was reported on the south side of U.S. 30 west of U.S. 35.

4/9/16 – A deputy responded to the 8800 block of south U.S. 35 in Monterey, where multiple storage units were reportedly broken into.

4/9/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle property damage accident in the 2100 block of south State Road 39 in Knox.

4/9/16 – A resident in the 1600 block of north 300 East in Knox advised someone broke in and stole all of his electronics.

4/9/16 – A resident in the 2200 block of east 250 South in Knox reported being harassed by a neighbor.

4/9/16 – A resident in the 6600 block of south 200 East in Knox advised five teenagers pulled road signs out of the ground and left them in the roadway for cars to run over.

4/9/16 – A resident in the 3000 block of north 1200 East in Knox advised he lost a tall buckskin horse with a white spot on its side.

4/9/16 – Officers responded to a report of several people racing up and down the road on dirt bikes and 4-wheelers and told them not to ride off-road vehicles on the roadway.

4/10/16 – A slide-off was reported in the area of State Roads 8 and 23 in Knox.

4/4/16 – Kristy Jimerson, 40, Plymouth – Unauthorized entry of motor vehicle, false informing, driving while suspended and failure to stop after an accident resulting in non-vehicle damage.

4/8/16 – Samuel Edward Singleton, Jr., 22, Knox – Parole warrant.

4/8/16 – Korey C. Shavers, 31, No address listed – Operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, operating a vehicle with a BAC of .08 or more and possession of marijuana.

4/8/16 – Stephen Ray Allen, 33, North Judson – Warrant.

49/16 – Richard Tanner, Jr., 30, Walkerton – Criminal trespass.
