Preliminary Autopsy Results Revealed in Lake Maxinkuckee Drowning Incident

 
 

An autopsy has found that 22-year-old Valentin Sirghi of Plymouth died as a result of asphyxiation due to drowning in an incident at Lake Maxinkuckee Sunday evening.

That preliminary result was confirmed by Marshall County Deputy Coroners Ann Leed and Brigette Hite. The autopsy was conducted by Dr. Joseph Prahlow, Board-Certified Pathologist in Mishawaka.

Jemiolo Accused of Beating and Stabbing Wife to Death

A LaPorte County man accused of killing his wife was in LaPorte Superior Court for an initial hearing Thursday.

The affidavit for probable cause outlines a gruesome incident in which Joseph Jemiolo allegedly beat and stabbed his wife, Kathy Jemiolo, to death at their home in the 800 block of E. Street in LaPorte on Tuesday, June 11.

Preliminary Autopsy Results Released in Marshall County Inmate Death

  
 

Preliminary autopsy results have been released in the case of a Marshall County Jail inmate found dead in his cell Sunday morning.

Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger and Deputy Coroner Lisa Richards attended the autopsy in Mishawaka Tuesday which was conducted by Dr. Joseph Prahlow, a board certified forensic pathologist. Cleavenger indicated that the preliminary results showed no evidence of violence nor foul play in the death of 44-year-old Kerry Pinder. Pinder had a history of previous medical issues and there is no evidence to suggest that his incarceration was related to his death.

Culver Shooting Ruled Murder-Suicide

An autopsy conducted by Forensic Pathologist Dr. Joseph Prahlow yesterday and a Culver police investigation have revealed that the result of the shootings on Wednesday, November 28 inside a Culver residence was a murder-suicide.

Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger indicated that the preliminary autopsy results showed that 44-year-old Michael Price shot 16-year-old Stephen Suthard multiple times and then turned the gun on himself.
