One of Indiana’s most staunch advocates for public education ventured to Plymouth on Thursday.

Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz was the invited guest speaker at the Marshall County Reading Council’s spring banquet. Between promoting several of her initiatives in elective office, Ritz took time to criticize the way standardized tests are being utilized, as well as their effect on student learning.

Ancilla College says they published the site this week, and made mention of the features visitors will be able to take advantage of while online. The website is considered responsive across all browsers and devices; meaning visitors can access the website on their mobile devices.

A rescheduled meeting did nothing to quell the debate among board members of the Oregon-Davis School District.

The group, like many other school corporations, considered a balanced calendar proposal that would put their class days more in line with area vocational schools and other school corporations.
