Knox School Board Updated on Graduation Rate, Transfer Information

The State Department of Education recently released the graduation rates for each corporation and Knox Community School Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart updated the board on the school’s statistics.

“The high school is at 94.5 percent which is the highest in the county,” said Dr. Recihhart. “The school ranks above the state average by about five percentage points.”

North Judson-San Pierre High School Graduation Rate Soars

 The North Judson-San Pierre High School principal attributes the uptick in the graduation rate at the corporation to the efforts of determined students, staff, and counselors.

The rate has only gone up slightly each year for the past few years, but Annette Zupin told the school board this week that it means a lot to see students improve. Zupin believes an 11 percent increase in the graduation rate between 2013 and 2014 is due to the determination of students to graduate. The graduation rate was at 84.7 percent in 2013 and 95.8 percent in 2014. The school board members are hoping for the same or better results this year.  Continue reading

DOE Releases Graduation Rate Data

 
 

The Indiana Department of Education released graduation rate data Wednesday for the 2012-2013 school year.

The graduation rate is up from 2012. The average rate for all schools was 88.6% and most of the local schools are above that rate.

John Glenn Schools had the highest graduation rate of the local schools at 96.6% and Culver Community Schools had the lowest graduation rate at 77%.
