Seat Belt and Impaired Driving Patrols Scheduled in April in LaPorte

 
 

Officers with the LaPorte City Police Department will be working 40 hours of Operation Pull Over funded seat belt patrols in April. Impaired driving patrols will be held every weekend in April that are organized through the LaPorte County DUI Taskforce.

LaPorte City Police Department officers have investigated several accidents so far this year. Severe weather and alcohol contributed to most of the accidents.

LaPorte City Officers to Work Extra Patrols in Feb.

Officers with the LaPorte City Police Department will be busy this month conducting seat belt patrols and impaired driving patrols.

30 hours this month will be devoted by officers to conduct Operation Pull Over funded patrols. The officers will be working with the DUI Taskforce Indiana funded impaired driving patrols on the weekends in conjunction with the other departments participating in the LaPorte County DUI Taskforce.

LaPorte County DUI Task Force Conducting Holiday Patrols

The LaPorte County DUI Task Force is in the midst of saturation patrols in an effort to reduce impaired and dangerous driving. The increased enforcement will continue through the New Year’s holiday.

Marked and unmarked police vehicles will also be out seeking aggressive driving.

LaPorte County law enforcement has a zero tolerance for those under the age of 21 consuming alcohol or who are in possession of alcohol.
