Levi Lakes Sentenced to 10-year Prison Sentence

 
 
Levi Lakes was sentenced in Starke Circuit Court on Monday morning.

Lakes was in court last week where he pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the state on a charge of Dealing in a Narcotic Drug. Judge Kim Hall sentenced Lakes to 10 years in the Department of Corrections with no part of that sentence suspended.

If Lakes successfully completes the CLIFF or GRIP program for drug rehabilitation while incarcerated, he may petition the court for a modification of his sentence.

Two Knox Residents Arrested on Narcotics Charges

 
 

Two people were arrested Tuesday after the execution of a search warrant in the 300 block of Fisher Street in Knox.

Officers from the Knox City Police Department arrived at the residence and presented the search warrant. During the search, officers reportedly found several types of narcotics including heroin. A five year old child was also in the home at the time the narcotics were located and collected.
