Knox Peppermint Parade Application Deadline Extended

The Knox Peppermint Parade is right around the corner and residents wanting to be a part of it have received a bit more time to sign up.

Originally, the deadline to register was set for Wednesday, November 22nd. However, in a Knox City Council meeting, Mayor Dennis Estok said so far they’ve only received a little over ten entries. He said he wants to provide some additional time for individuals who may be waiting to sign up until they know what the weather will be like the day of the parade. Continue reading

Grand Marshals Chosen for Hamlet Yellowstone Trail Fest

Robert and Susan Rowles have been selected as the Grand Marshals for the Hamlet Yellowstone Trail Fest parade this weekend.

Robert has lived in Hamlet since he was 2 years old. Growing up in Hamlet he was very busy; in his lifetime he has worked at his stepfather’s car dealership and the Thompson Smith Company. He also served in several positions with the county, and was a Hamlet Town Board member for 12 years.

North Judson Holiday Activities Begin Tonight

Don’t miss the Christmas light ceremony tonight at 6:00 p.m. CT at Norwayne Field in North Judson. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available at the old firehouse following the event.

Santa Claus will be arriving in North Judson on Saturday, by train, at 12:30 p.m. The Christmas parade will start at the Depot and end at the new firehouse on Luken Street. Santa will be greeting children at the firehouse where cookies and hot chocolate will be available.
