Fulton County Accident Kills 2, Injuries Another

A car accident in Fulton County took the lives of a ten-year-old girl and her mother.

At around 6:10 p.m. On Friday, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department said 46-year-old Leesa Sexton was traveling southbound on U.S. 31, south of 375 North when her 2003 Ford Focus veered off the west side of the roadway and into a patch of grass. The car then turned back onto the road before flipping multiple times. Officials say they do not know what caused her to veer off the road.

The Fulton County coroner pronounced Leesa Sexton and her 10-year-old Katelin Sexton dead at the scene. Paramedics took another 10-year-old, Sarah Sexton, to Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester before transferring her to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for serious injuries. Fortunately, she is reported to have been released.
