Senator Mike Bohacek and State Representative Jim Pressel visited the Starke County Justice Center Monday afternoon to recognize Sheriff Bill Dulin for the incredible impact he’s made on the community.

Knox School Corporation Looking to Partner with City to Add School Resource Officer

The Knox Community School Corporation is still looking for ways to add a school resource officer, even after the Starke County Sheriff’s Department was unable to secure funding. During Tuesday’s school board meeting, Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart said he and other school officials are now exploring whether the City of Knox could step in.  Continue reading

The Starke County Justice Center Farm Stand Will Be Set Up Again Tomorrow and Next Saturday

Trustees with the Fostering a Recovery Mind Set (F.A.R.M) program at the Starke County Justice Center will have their farm stand set up again this Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. As reported in the past, the F.A.R.M garden was expanded this year, resulting in a surplus of produce that is being offered to the community.

A wide variety of vegetables and plenty of plants and flowers will be available, as well as pallet art and wall hangings that the trustees have personally created. Continue reading
