Knox Community School Facility Study Committee Moves Forward with Palmer Wing Discussion

The Knox Community School Facility Study Committee is going to meet with ICE Miller and Umbaugh and Associates this month to talk about what the school corporation needs to do in order to move forward with the Palmer Wing at the Elementary School. Superintendent A.J. Gappa says something needs to be done.

“The Committee wants to move forward,”said Gappa. “We’ve had members of the public come and and we gave tours so we want to progress with that committee and get public input and make a final decision on how to proceed with the Palmer Wing at the Elementary School.”

The School Board members, at their meeting Monday night, received an update on a couple of other facility projects.

“We had a floor problem at Door #7 at the Elementary School and that was corrected over spring break. Beginning next week, we plan to go back to the original drop-off and walking plan at the elementary school. We were also able to report that the final touches were put on the new building at the softball field and so that building is ready to go for the opening of the season which occurs next week here.”
