Starke County officers arrested two people after finding two cars parked on 1100 East near the Yellow River.
When officers were reportedly given consent to search the vehicles, they found a syringe inside an open Pepsi can in one vehicle and two other syringes were found lying near the other vehicle.
At that time, Walter Clark Stacy and Matt Hamilton, both of Ober, were arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of a Syringe, a Class D Felony.
Officers then went to a home in the 200 South block of State Road 23 and found a plastic tool box containing precursors to manufacture methamphetamine as well as an active methamphetamine lab buried in the back yard.
Walter Clark Stacy was additionally charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony and Possession of Precursor, a Class D Felony.
