The Pulaski County Commissioners this week approved a request from Treasurer Lynn Wilder to advertise for bids to purchase new computers for her office. Wilder explained her office is in heavy need of some new computers, as their current equipment is more than six years old.
Wilder said her office would like to purchase seven computers to replace the computers currently in use at her office. She said the funding is available in the Cumulative Capital Development Fund, which currently boasts a balance over $1 million. On top of that, there is a question as to whether or not they will need a new printer come tax time, and they are currently exploring the possibility of replacing the printer.
Copiers Plus, the county’s provider of copier, scanner, and faxing equipment, suggested that the company may be able to bring in a commercial-size printer on the day tax information would need to be printed. Currently, there is no issue with the county’s printing equipment, but it would be in very heavy use during tax time.
A motion was made and approved for the bids to be advertised pending council approval.
