Two Arrested in Connection with Plymouth Armed Robbery

Two Illinois men were arrested on Sunday after reportedly being involved in an armed robbery incident in Plymouth.

An employee at the Cellular Connection told Plymouth officers that two men entered the store and ordered him to open the safe. A knife was reportedly brandished when the demand was made. He said the suspects took high value phones from the safe, according to the news release from the Plymouth Police Department. Before the suspects left the store, the employee told police that he was restrained. The victim was able to get free and call 911.

As police were responding, a vehicle was spotted leaving the area at a high rate of speed. The officer saw that the occupants matched the description of the suspects given by the employee. A traffic stop was attempted, but the vehicle continued north to the south side of South Bend. The pursuit ended when the suspect’s vehicle was disabled. Officers reportedly found the cell phones inside the car that were taken from the store in Plymouth.

The two suspects were apprehended after a foot pursuit. Brandon M. Terrell, 26, and Deshontay L. Lewis, 27, of Illinois were both questioned and booked into Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of armed robbery as a Level 3 felony.
