Traffic violations led to the arrest of a LaPorte County man on drug charges.
Officers stopped a vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Kyle Lawrence after police allege he changed lanes without signaling. Police also say the vehicle was straddling the lanes for a brief period before making the switch.
A K-9 unit was utilized for an air-sniff test, indicating the positive presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. Lawrence allegedly told LaPorte Police that he was in possession of a heroin syringe in his coat pocket. The device was located by officers with the brown liquid inside field testing positive for heroin.
