Income Survey Planned for North Judson Community Center Project

NJCommunityCenterNorth Judson and Wayne Township are moving forward with efforts to secure grant funding for a new community center. Next week, income surveys will be sent out to randomly chosen residents of Wayne Township, who live outside the Town of North Judson.

The income information is required in order to determine whether the township is eligible for grants from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. Project organizers say a high response rate is needed in order to prove eligibility. They say all information will be kept confidential and will only be used to determine the township’s eligibility to OCRA.

Income information for those living within the Town of North Judson was obtained last year as part of the application process for the town’s water tower rehabilitation grant. North Judson Clerk-Treasurer Alicia Collins says the town is collaborating with Wayne Township on the community center project.

For more information about the survey process, contact the Town of North Judson at 574-896-3340. Local residents will also have the chance to share their input on the proposed community center during a public hearing at the North Judson Town Hall on Monday, March 21 at 6 p.m.
