Plymouth Police warn that skimmers have been discovered on several ATMS in the area. They are devices placed their by a third party to steal a customer’s information.
Customers are urged to always pull on the card reader to make sure it is not loose, as some devices are placed as an overlay and glued or taped on. Also, place your hand over the keypad when entering your PIN in case a camera is in place to capture numbers that are entered.
Customers who see anything out of the ordinary should not use the machine and should contact the bank.
