Judge Blankenship Announces Retirement from Pulaski Superior Court

Pulaski Superior Court Judge Patrick Blankenship is stepping down. In a letter to Pulaski County residents appearing in this week’s Pulaski County Journal, Blankenship says he’s retiring from his position to pursue other avenues that have been offered to him. He adds that with his daughter about to graduate from college, he feels the time is right to make the change.

Blankenship also thanked Pulaski County residents for their support over the last 16 years. He says his retirement will take effect April 3.

It will be up to the Indiana Governor’s Office to choose a replacement, according to state judicial branch officials. If someone isn’t chosen by April 3, a judge pro-tem may be appointed or senior judges may be asked to fill in.
