Knox Mayor Dennis Estok plans to begin implementing the comprehensive plan for the city that was adopted in 2015. He says a big part of that is improving the appearance of the downtown area.Estok is currently working with a young artist on a mural project for the brick wall adjacent to Serenity Gardens. He also wants to get schools and other artists in the community involved in the beautification effort.
During an appearance on “Grossman in the Morning” last week on WKVI, Estok said he also wants to improve the appearance of the downtown intersections.
Another goal is to build more houses in downtown Knox and continue with efforts to tear down blighted houses within the city limits.
